My approach and style is highly supportive, empathic and encourages the development of self-awareness. I work from a psychodynamic perspective, helping you to understand yourself on a deeper level. Based on the principles of psychoanalysis, psychodynamic psychotherapy offers the opportunity to explore conflicts within a safe and containing client-therapist relationship.
My qualifications and experience
I hold an MSc in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Counselling, having completed a rigorous training in Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy at Birkbeck, University of London.
I am registered with British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I adhere to its ethical code of practice.
My clinical experience includes working for NHS at the Hetherington Group Practice, Clapham, as well as Community Counselling Services and the Maytree Suicidal Respite Centre, Finsbury Park, North London.
I believe therapy helps people to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships to become free of old patterns, or simply find ways to process pain or memories that have kept them feeling stuck.
I provide a non-judgmental and empathic environment for sharing your concerns, fears, feelings and thoughts. My goal is to help you to understand your old patterns that are causing emotional distress and to facilitate your therapeutic change.
I strongly believe that we simply repeat what we don’t repair. I have a heart and a passion for the work I do in creating effective change.
